Dr Hash Mir

Dr Hashmatullah (Hash) Mir completed his MBBS in 2006 and worked in general medicine until 2011.

Relocated to Australia from Afghanistan in July 2011. He speaks English, Farsi (Dari), Pashto and Persian.

He has worked on Migrant and Refugee settlement services as a case manager for refugees until 2015 during this period prepared for AMC exams and studied diploma of nursing.

Dr Hash has worked in Australian medical system since begging of 2019.

He loves working in general practice due to long term therapeutic relationship with patients and the variety of presentations in General Practice. Joined RACGP training mid 2022 and since then has been working in Gundagai Medical Centre and also occasionally covering Gundagai District Hospital as a VMO.

He enjoys running and playing soccer as a hobby.

Fees and Billing

At Googong Family Practice our aim is to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. We have dedicated staff, highly skilled experienced doctors and nurses within a well-equipped facility.

​Medicare rebates have failed to keep up with the costs of delivering quality medical services. We aim to keep the out of pocket costs to our patients as low as possible while providing the best quality care.

We provide Medicare claiming for our patients where your rebate can be deposited into your nominated bank account. Reception staff are able to provide further info about this. We accept cash, EFTPOS and most credit cards. Payment in full is required at the time of your consultation.

All procedures will incur a different fee, please discuss this with your GP at the time of booking

Bulk Billing
We are able to offer bulk billing for the below:
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Children under the age of 5
  • Children 5-15 that have a Commonwealth Concession Card
  • DVA Gold Card holders
  • DVA White Card holders for their nominated conditions
  • All vaccines on the National Immunisation Progra
  • Health assessments, health management and care plans
Concession Fee
A concession fee will apply for the below:
  • Children 5-15 that do not have a Commonwealth Concession Card
  • Patients 16 and older with a Commonwealth Concession Card
Practice Fee

For all other patients not listed the standard Practice fee will apply.

Telehealth consultations are charged the same as a regular consult. To receive a Medicare rebate for a telehealth consultation you must have been seen in the practice for a face to face appointment in the last 12 months.

Patients with a chronic condition may be able to access a Bulk Billed consultation every 3 months to manage and support their condition.

Non-attendance/Cancellation – If you do not attend or cancel your appointment within 4 hours of the appointment time a fee of $55 will apply. This fee must be paid before any further appointments are made.

Dr Mir practices out of the Googong Family Practice, Suite 2B, 201 Gorman Drive, Googong NSW 2620.

Established in March 2020, the Googong Family Practice aims to provide local, quality health service to the Googong and surrounding community.

The Practice has registered with Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL). We comply with all, and in most instances exceed, the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners 5th Edition Standards of care.
